We will be judged on our relationship with the poor. When Jesus says, "The poor you will always have with you", he is saying, "I will always be with you in the poor; I will be present there". This is at the center of the Gospel, so much so that we will be judged on it."
"ஏழைகளுடன் நாம் எவ்வாறு நம்முடைய உறவைப் பேணுகிறோம் என்ற அடிப்படையிலேயே நாம்  தீர்ப்பிடப்படுவோம்.  ‘ஏழைகள் எப்போதும் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறார்கள்’ என்று சொல்லும்போது, அவர், ‘ஏழைகளில் நான் உங்களுடன் இருக்கிறேன்; நான் அங்கு இருக்கிறேன்’ என்று சொல்கிறார். அதுவே நற்செய்தியின் மையமாக இருக்கிறது. ஆகையால், எந்த அளவுக்கு நாம் அவர்களுடன் இருக்கிறோமோ அதன்படியே நாம் தீர்ப்பிடப்படுவோம்’
